Healing Skin Soak

A gentle bath ritual to soften, soothe and protect sensitive skin 🫧

This nourishing bath blend is designed for anyone prone to eczema or irritation, but it’s also a lovely way to keep skin soft and hydrated, and to relax after a long day. Natural oils soften, salts gently heal and cleanse, and the essential oils create a spa-like steam you can breathe in to unwind.

Ingredients

  • Roughly 1 tablespoonful coconut oil
  • 1 cup salt (Epsom or sea salt work well)
  • A few drops tea tree essential oil
  • A few drops rose essential oil


Method

1. Run hot water only into your bathtub — hot enough that the salts and oils will dissolve easily.


2. Add the coconut oil, salt and essential oils to the running water.


3. Allow everything to dissolve completely while the tub fills.


4. Once dissolved, adjust the bath to your preferred temperature by adding cold water.


5. Sink in, breathe deeply and enjoy the gentle steam.

 

(Candles, calming music and face/hair masks make wonderful additions if you want to turn this into a full spa-like experience.)

Tip

For best results, stay in for at least 15–20 minutes so the oils and salts can work their magic on your skin. Air dry, or gently pat dry with a soft towel afterwards to keep the moisture locked in 💧
